Part One

1) The tap is the lever. This mechanism allows the user to apply less force for water to be pumped. Thus, it is a useful mechanism in a household context.

2) The piano key is the lever. This mechanism allows the use to change the direction of force from downwards (pressing of keys) to forward (hammer hitting the string).

3) This table utilises the lever and linkages to work. This mechanism allows the table to fold in one direction for spacial purposes. Therefore, it is a useful mechanism in a household context.
