- Instead of having to lift up the cover, this application of a lever just requires you to step on one end of the lever(which is sticking out) and it will push a metal rod to lift up the lid.

-  This application of lever enables more movement of the load than the effort, enabling faster movement to hit the bugs.

Picture 3

- Instead of turning a small round protrusion, this handle enables  easier movement with less effort to turn the knob.
