1) The sink tap is a lever. It is useful because it is easy for us to use the tap, as we apply little force on the handle of the tap. Turning it a little lets the water flow out easily, therefore, we do not need to use much force on trying to open the tap.
2) The bicycle wheels are attached to gears and they are connected by a chain. These gears make it easy for us to ride the bicycle smoothly. Without these gears, it would be difficult to ride the bicycle, or maybe not even possible to ride the bike at all.
3) The linkage allows the person trying to open the cabinet to open it easily. It also allows the cover of the cabinet to stay up so that the person does not need to use one hand to hold up the cover and the other hand to take something, which might be quite dangerous.
Part 2
Problem: The linkage of my folding table is not very good, thus, when you move the table a little, the whole table collapses. So if there is like a macbook on the table, and if you accidentally hit the table and it swings, the table will just collapse, damaging the macbook.
Solution: Put linkages between the top of the table and the legs, so that the table will stand firm.
