Picture of a window latch. This comprises of a lever when the handle is being pushed and also a linkage when the latch is locked. A rather simple yet effective design.

Picture showing linkages across the half way line of the washing machine's lid. It uses linkage so that the lid can be folder and would not accumulate too much space.
Picture 3 (In another Post)
This picture shows a bicycle. Bicycles uses gears and chains to move the bicycles wheels. As the gears are smaller and the wheels are larger, the wheels will go faster.
